I had the pleasure to supervise and create the visual effects for the 4-part documentary series called “The Future of Nature”.
The series, developed by UK based production company Brian Leith Productions for PBS, shows the audience how the ecosystems of the planet works to draw down carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It explains the impact of carbon on our planet and how nature is helping to mitigate its effects.
A great cause to be involved in and a truly enjoyable process to be part of. We worked closely with the director/producer team to develop visually interesting and scientifically correct visual effects that help the audience understand the carbon cycle that we are all part of.
Biggest thanks goes to the entire team at BLP for trusting us with their project, in particular to Verity White (Series Producer), Tammy Cannon (Production Manager), Nicola Brown (Producer/Director of Oceans episode), Rob Myler (Producer/Director of Grasslands episode) and Gavin Maxwell (Producer/Director of Forests and Humans episode).
The visual effects team was led by Markus Kircher and myself. Additional FX simulations by Martin Egger and early concepts created by Thomas Moor.
Thanks to everyone involved!
